Japanese Invention Day Google Doodle

Long title :o .

Here is the link to the completed (or at least for now) Google Doodle. There is no sound to it because I felt it a bit wrong to add sound to my own when none of the other animated Google Doodles had any sound to them.

JID GD

EDIT: I seem to have forgotten to add the one most important detail of the whole google doodle. The notification of what the whole google doodle is for. So I need to add this to the doodle and then I think that should be it. Silly me :) .

Google Doodle Research and Design

Well from what I have been able to find, which in the case of the Japanese invention day is very little, has established that my Google Doodle is going to be based on Albert Einstein.

So the next logical step was to find information about Einstein that I could incorporate into the Doodle so that an audience would know what the Doodle is about.

The references below are some of the websites I used to make my decision on my Doodle and what I will be using to help relate my Doodle to its topic such as Einstein’s theory of relativity and E=mc².

I’ve done some designs in my sketchbook and plan to upload them in my next post.

Google Doodle

I was asked to choose two numbers, one between 1-12 and the other between 1-30. So I chose 4 and 18. this set the date at the 18th April. With this date I then looked up all major events that happened on this particular date.

Well, unforutnately most of the events that happened on that date involve deaths and war related events (such as bombings). only two events really stood out for me (although one of them again isn’t a great one) was the death of albert Einstein and Japan’s special day known as invention day.

To be honest I wish I had picked a different set of numbers now but at least this will make it a challenge. What I’m going to do next is research somethings related to these events (more so about Einstein’s life (what he left us in his passing) and what made invetion day unique to other days). This will hopefully help me to design a Doodle that has some form of sense and meaning to its topic.
